Eurotrash Motorsports is proud to support a number of local projects like the Carleton University Ravens Racing FSAE team and charities like Ride for Dad and Movember Canada.

Ravens Racing

Shawn and Emil are both external advisers for the Carleton University Formula SAE (FSAE) racing team. The project involves development of an open-wheeled racing car within the specifications set forth by the North American Society of Automotive Engineering (SAE). FSAE is an annual university design competition held at the Michigan International Speedway during the month of May and typically attracts upwards of 120 student based teams from universities and technical institutions from around the world. It consists of three major stages; design, construction and performance testing of the vehicle.

This year marks the first year of Carleton’s The Formula Hybrid competition is a spin off of Formula SAE based on hybrid vehicle technology. This car must use a hybrid gas/electric power train which emphasizes innovation and fuel efficiency in a high-performance application.

Like Formula SAE events, the Hybrid competition includes an acceleration test, autocross and endurance events, as well as engineering and construction static events. Unlike Formula SAE, Formula Hybrid events put a greater emphasis on drive train innovation and fuel efficiency.

Ride for Dad

In 2010, Eurotrash Motorsports joined Osgoode Tires for their annual Ride for Dad show and shine fundraiser. The Motorcycle Ride for Dad is Canada’s biggest annual motorcycle event dedicated to fighting prostate cancer through research and awareness.

The first Ride for Dad took place in Ottawa in 2000 with 75 riders. This year, the Ride celebrated its 10th anniversary with 29 local rides and a Cross-Canada Tour!

The Motorcycle Ride for Dad is supported by hundreds of volunteers who have dedicated themselves to the fight against prostate cancer – individuals who make a difference in their communities and right across Canada.

Behind the Motorcycle Ride for Dad is the dedicated National Advisory Board, the many police associations, all the volunteer executive committees in each of the event cities, and last but not least, the thousands of riders who have come back year after year to join the fight against prostate cancer!

Walk for Smiles

For 2011, Eurotrash Motorsports is proud to be participating in Starlight Canada’s annual Walk for Smiles.  The walk will take place on Saturday September 24th, 2011 in four cities across Canada. When a child is diagnosed with a serious illness, the entire family is affected, and the day-to-day joys of childhood often take a back seat to the rigors of treatment and hospitalization.
